I have a fair amount of knowledge and also respect when it comes to wild animals. I want to get this off my chest first: Paris Hilton's pet kinkajou is NOT A MONKEY.
Something else that it isn't is LEGAL in either New York or California, Hilton's states of residence. A spokesman for the California Department for Fish and Game explained: "We'll send them a letter to let them know we're aware they have a restricted species."
I would like to add my voice to those opposed to exotic pet ownership. Wild capture often involves killing family members of the young animal. Also our society is killing hundreds of unwanted cats and dogs every day.
