Ivanka Trump is No Paris Hilton

If you can get the press to quote your comment about not being anything like Paris Hilton, um, I don't know how to finish this sentence.

Ivanka Trump can get a spot on talk shows because of her parentage. She does not seem very engaging or striking to me. I don't like her father. I don't know Paris' father.

Ivanka hates being compared to Paris Hilton.
"I think we are totally different individuals. If I were to go off the rails and become this party kid, I would not be able to afford my lifestyle. I've never had a sense of entitlement. I saw how hard my father worked for his money and it was always made very clear to me that things wouldn't just be given to me."

Judge Rules Against Parisexposed

Paris Hilton continues to get favorable results in court in her efforts to regain her privacy. I had previously published a rumor that Paris stood to profit personally from the website, but I think her continued legal battle to shut it down completely and permanently put those rumors in doubt. The circumstances surrounding the publication of the private and provocative materials are strange. Paris is supposed to have failed to pay the rent on a storage locker and had her personal belongings auctioned off.

Paris Hilton Shaves Her Head

Of course Paris did NOT shave her head. The point that I was trying to make is that Paris is selfish and vain enough to be a functional drunken slut. I think her ex-best-friend-forever should go back to innocent and childish. And I also think a key difference between Britney and Paris is that Paris is not friends with the people she hires to look after her, and she tends not to fire them for trying to do their jobs either.

Will Paris be my Friend

Being a BFF of Paris is a short term appointment. I am not aiming for that, I just want to be one of her hundreds of thousands of MySpace friends.

Is Paris Going to AA Meetings?

Paris may have been sentenced to attend Alcoholic Anonymous. Moderation Management, which promotes drinking in moderation instead of abstinence got some free press by inviting Paris to attend their meetings.

Moderation Management founder Marc Kern says that Paris shouldn’t have to attend AA meetings with common drunks:

“Paris is obviously an early stage problem drinker, and an abstinence group is an overkill and inappropriate for a celebrity…To mandate that Paris Hilton attend an abstinence-only support group is counterproductive and is not really going to help, if our goal is to rehabilitate or educate. “What is best for her? Paris needs Moderation Management, not AA.”

I didn't watch any Simple Life episodes beyond the first season, but I seem to remember Paris having no difficulties pretending to be nice and sweet around common drunks. She is farily convincing at pretending to be a common drunk.

New Look For This Blog

If you have been here before, and dozens of people have BTW, you will notice that I have made the insane decision to actually change out of default mode. This blog has always been all about content. In keeping with the ideals of it's namesake, Paris Hilton, I never wanted this blog to be in any way superficial. Let me know if you like having the header title in pink or yellow, I couldn't decide.

The Man from GLAAD versus Paris Hilton

"When Paris Hilton utters these words into a camera, it creates a permanent record that . . . she must bear responsibility for. These are not frivolous words, and to use them as if they are gives tacit sanction to the racism and homophobia they engender. Hilton has an obligation to go on the record, explain herself and publicly apologize to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) and African-American communities, and all those offended by these slurs."

Neil G. Giuliano, GLAAD president and former Tempe mayor.

I haven't viewed any of the camera phone footage in question. I personally feel that the act of saying a word should not be some kind of inexcusable act. It really comes down to context and intent. That being said I am not going to assume that Paris was not being hateful and crass.

Parisexposed Temporarily Shut Down by Federal Judge

This is simply too complicated to paraphrase...
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction against a Web site peddling personal pictures, videos, diaries, and other items that heiress Paris Hilton once kept at a storage facility.

Hilton sued the Web site ParisExposed.com last month, accusing it of exploiting her private personal belongings for commercial gain. The injunction issued Friday temporarily bars the Web site from releasing Hilton’s Social Security number, health data and other personal information.

Hilton’s spokesman, Elliott Mintz, said Saturday he was pleased by the move.

“I know what this has done personally and emotionally to Paris,” Mintz said. “As far as I’m concerned, this is the most disturbing intrusion upon the privacy of a public figure that I’ve ever witnessed. “

The subscription-based Web site was launched last month and claims to have footage of Hilton in a “sexy bubble bath” video and various shots of the 25-year-old socialite in “racy situations.”

Hilton previously said she put her possessions in storage two years ago when she and her sister, Nicky, moved out of a house that had been burglarized.

The lawsuit alleges two defendants paid $2,775 for the contents of the storage unit and later sold the items for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created the Web site.

A message sent to an e-mail address for Persa on Saturday afternoon was not immediately returned. Persa is due in court on Feb. 16 to address the injunction.

So, I'm not sure about all the legal jargon...I think there are still loopholes through which an eager public can see Paris' naughty bits.
